Navy Recruitment – Go places others don’t.
With the impending arrival of 12 new Attack-Class Submarines, the Australian Navy needed to recruit more submariners.
Being a submariner isn’t an easy gig and it takes a certain person to fill the role, so we designed a campaign that would speak directly to them.
We created a digital game where candidates were in charge of a submarine’s mission. They had to answer questions and
navigate the sub to the US naval base in Hawaii. If candidates were able to pass this test, they were invited to enter their details for the chance to win a tour of a real Collins Class Submarine in Western Australia. This generated high-quality leads of potential future submariners, with an influx of job applications.
These applicants weren’t just regular applicants, they had already passed the first round of screening, meaning they were a higher calibre candidate for what is a challenging job. Designed for desktop and mobile. Supported with digital and social advertising.
